The above video clip is from a General Conference address given in October 1974: "What after Death?" The clip illustrates the Church's undeviating pursuit since its early history to build Houses of the Lord. In these temples all the children of our Heavenly Father can be blessed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Elder LeGrand Richards (February 6, 1886 – January 11, 1983) was a member of the Quorum of Twelve Apostles for nearly 31 years. He is remembered for his warmth, plainspoken teaching style, and missionary zeal. His full-time service in the work of Gathering Israel spanned more than 60 years. His conference talks were filled with his sincerity, optimism, sense of humor, and tireless testimony of the restored Gospel.
